History of video surveillance

surveillanceThe first CCTV system was installed in Germany in 1942 in the plant for rocket engines called Test Stand 2. It was used for monitoring in the launch of test missiles type V2, in order to detect any problems. Creator of the first video surveillance system is a German engineer Walter Bryuh.

 

In the city of Orleans (USA) in September 1968 is installed the first system of cameras, with the aim of security surveillance. The video surveillance system was installed on all major streets to reduce the uprising crime. Due to that system, revealing the offenses increased repeatedly, and video cameras emerged as a strong weapon of security.

 

From the time of emergence until today video systems undergo major development. Today they enjoy a wide popularity. This is possible due to the significant reduction in the price of their components and the capabilities of modern computers to be used in video surveillance systems.
