Time & attendance systems
Time attendance systems are more and more widely spread these days. Companies of different sizes use time & attendance systems to control workers, calculate work hours and presence, holidays and so on. Time & attendance system usually consist of entrance and exit reader, control unit and computer with software. When an employee checks in with his/hers access card the control unit passes the information to the computer which stores the time of the entrance.
The same with the exit. Then the time and attendance software uses that information (usually stored in some kind of database) to calculate the employee working hours, lunch and other breaks and whether the worker is late-in or early checks-out. As a conclusion, time & attendance systems are major part of company security systems, can be integrated with CCTV system on site, with access control system and even with building management system.
